Priyanka Chopra has a reason to be miffed and surprised. The actor was in news recently, courtesy the rumours which suggested that her younger cousin Parineeti Chopra recommended her name for the lead role in her upcoming movie ‘Gunday’.According to reports, Parineeti Chopra and Anushka Sharma were being considered for the lead role in YRF’s next. But Priyanka Chopra bagged the offer because her sister allegedly helped.
A source asserted that the reports are baseless as the actor is one of the popular actresses in the industry and doesn’t need to depend on any recommendation.
“They need a top actress for Gunday to lend weight to the project....,” the source said.
“No one needs to ‘recommend’ a Priyanka Chopra! And no, neither Anushka nor Parineeti were approached for the role. Both these queries are untrue,” Rafique Gangjee from Yash Raj Films was quoted as saying.
